💖🎙️All Thoughts No Conclusions 💖🎙️is your weekly dose of existentialism, contemporary (dare we say *pop*) culture, and everything in between. Each episode we’ll explore different topics from our corner of the zeitgeist, and share lots of unfiltered thoughts, and the occasional conclusion.
Welcome back!
It's been a bit of a gloomy start to the year in NYC, with only three days of full sun in January (but who’s counting!). But, on the bright side, it was also just Broadway week – and as two newly minted Broadway-obsessed girlies (more on this in the pod), we've been keeping busy. 🌟🎭
This episode, we discuss THOUGHTS on Going Analog.
"Going analog" is like a breath of fresh air in a world dominated by digital everything! It's our little personal rebellion against the culture trying to make us do and be Everything Everywhere All at Once.
In our circles and selves, we’ve seen a shift – the embracement of the once abandoned, returning to tangible and “traditional” experiences. (This is a laughable use of the term “traditional”…think corded headphones vs AirPods).

TL;DR: As we embrace innovation and technological progress, it's easy to overlook the unintended consequences that often accompany these advancements. While efficiency gains and breakthroughs may bring us immediate benefits, they can also introduce new and unforeseen challenges.
The price of progress, as they say, is ~eternal vigilance~ (Per… Thomas Jefferson … lol VERY analog)
Specifically, we discuss…
🌟What areas in our lives are we seeing people “go analog”?
🌟Are these changes driven by age, cultural climate, etc?
🌟How important is efficiency… really?
🌟What would it mean to “opt out” of innovation at both a micro and macro level?
*Some* of our (hot? cold? warm?) takes include…
Live-action theater > Movies / TV / Viral Videos
As mentioned above, BROADWAY WEEK WAS THE BEST! We actually saw The Six together last Friday, and have been non-stop listening to the sound-track ever since.
Followed up with this History Chicks podcast, a 2 hour deep dive into the six wives of Henry the VIII – it's giving 16th century gossip in the best way
We might also see this upcoming parody based on Trump’s wives…
Sofia also saw Wicked for the first time – and now can’t get over that Ariana Grande is having an affair with Boq.
Birthday/Occasion Cards > Birthday/Occasion Texts
Emily writes birthday cards for OOT family/friends – Sofia might just move to a new city to make the cut.
IRL Shopping > Online Shopping
IRL Shopping might just be nourishing for the soul (The Atlantic, Jason Guriel)
Doesn’t hurt that shopping bags are only getting more FUN ( NeverWorns,
) – as are… menus? ttyl QR codes! (NYT, Priya Krishna, Tanya Sichynsky and Umi Syam)
…and more!
References / related / random:
We referenced Letterloop, a company that facilitates private group newsletters for friends & families (as an alternative to our arch nemesis, the text message). We also discussed the Paired Down podcast, a fun new take on match-making. Last but not least, we referenced the amazing NY Public Library system (& the 5 min process to get a free library card) - save yourself money, screen time (we’re not Kindle people), and apartment space by “renting” vs buying books.
We leave you with this retro hair dryer (#analog), seen in BookMarc – fun!!!
